Fold & Form

Fold & Form makes notebooks and envelopes from reclaimed cotton paper. Their product is texture — so the packaging could not compete with it. We designed a system of unprinted folded cartons, closed with a single letterpressed band.

Approach

Every size in the range folds from the same die line, scaled. The band carries all mandatory copy in a compressed grotesque, printed in one hit of dense black. Art direction for the launch photographed the products the way a printer inspects a sheet — raking light, no styling.

The result costs less than the previous glued cartons, ships flat, and is routinely kept by customers as storage — which was the quiet ambition all along.
